Airbag cover

Does anyone know if you can buy the dash cover for the passenger side airbag separate from the airbag? I replaced my airbag, but when I bought it I didn't realize it would be such a pain to find the cover. I would have bought them together had I known...

I need an ebony one for my 17 Expy.

Ouch is right. That's closer than I've been coming, but unfortunately I think the 07-14 is different from the 15-17. The one difference... I've checked all the usual suspects and I think the cover is always sold with the air bag.

The 15-17 is different.
I am pretty sure you can buy it separately.
I’ll get you the part number when I got home. If I remember correctly mine was replaced without a new airbag. Of course this was after the dealer thought the ENTIRE dash had to be replaced to the tune of $2400.

Been about a year so memory is fuzzy. I can’t recall for sure if the bag was replaced or not.
I have the invoice at the house and am pretty sure the part number should be on there.
If not I’ll call the dealer and have them look in their records.

I swung home for lunch and they did replace the entire air bag.
$602 for the part.

Sorry it has been awhile and I did not pay for it so I could not remember.

Where did you buy your bag that it did not come with the cover?

I thought that might have been what happened. I bought mine "new" on ebay. Lame... I could have paid $300 for a new one with the cover. Like I said, had I known. Thanks for checking.

That's a good point. It could be just the color option is different. Mine is ebony and the closest thing is charcoal pre-15. It actually might look good having a slightly different color if Charcoal is in fact different from Ebony. They're both black after all. I'll check it out. Maybe I'll take the one out of my 07 for a test fit. Thanks for the suggestion.

HawkX66 - did you ever get this airbag cover to work? I have a 16 with a crack and looking to see how I can repair it. Any help appreciated.
