Alarm being triggered randomly for no apparent reason

2011 Limited and alarm was randomly triggering (usually at night or early morning) and after awhile it became evident that the passenger door ajar switch was not functioning correctly. I would shut the door and it would still think the door was ajar, wouldn't arm alarm, running board would be wonky, remote start wouldn't work, etc. So I replaced that and everything seemed ok. I reset the battery, checked doors again, etc. and everything was working normally. All functions were back to normal. Then, I started to get the alarm randomly going off. I've checked all sensors via my scanner - it captured the last 4 alarm events and they are all "panic." Keys are not in a place where the buttons could get accidentally pushed. I don't believe this year had interior motion alarm or anything like that so I'm at a loss why this keeps happening? It's not a usual thing - maybe every couple of days or so - it will randomly go off - and it's always the panic alarm. Any ideas on what this could be? Battery seems to be ok in the key fob but I guess I could change it but something tells me that's not it.

Not sure does the 2011 have a hood sensor. I have a 2017 and mine was bent down and was getting random alarms as well.

By hood sensor, if you mean the one that shows up on the dash as "hood is open" or something, yes, my 011 EL has it, and if the hood is NOT fully opened within 5 mins or so after releasing the hatch from inside the truck, it triggers the panic alarm....

Same goes for the doors & rear hatch.... leaving them partially open for about 5 mins does the same thing

So, yes - I've looked at the hood sensor and made sure that it contacts correctly and bent it up slightly for good measure just to make sure....lol. But again, the trigger on the alarm event would say "hood ajar" or similar. I've tested it with the scanner - so for example - sit in the car and arm - have scanner attached - open passenger door - and alarm will go off. On the scanner for the alarm event it will say: Driver door ajar, passenger door ajar, etc. etc. But my events all say "panic" which is what's throwing me off. Could it be the key fob itself?

Some kid next door pressing the remote for his Chinese LED lights or something?

LOL - that would be something! I live in a pretty secluded area so its probably not that. Maybe it is the key fob - I will change the batteries and see what happens in the next few days.

Or alternatively, remove the battery from the remote for a day and see if you get no alarms.
