Any way to tell if a lift has been done?

I bought a 2000 Expy and I'm wondering if there is a simple way to tell if it's been lifted at all? I've been comparing it to other Expeditions I see with the same body style and mine seems to sit higher, or have more space between the tire and wheel well.

I know some work has been done to it, you can tell when you start it that the exhaust is not stock, but there was nothing documented when I bought it and I didn't get to speak to the former owner to find out what all had been done to it (I bought it used from a Ford dealership).

well easiest way to check for smaller lifts would be a body lift... look for 2-3" spacers between body and frame... or on the coils in the rear look to see if there are spacers either on top or below the coil anywhere from 1-3"... a torsion bar crank is harder to "see" or new keys are harder to notice

Is is a 4x4, cuz their front sits higher then the 4x2's. And small tires could make it look like more space is there too.
