I followed the steps for permanent deactivation and the alarm turns off, but only for the duration of a trip. After turning the engine off and pulling the key, the alarm comes back. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a fix? Thanks!

Did you check with ForScan to see if the ISC module is accessible on the '03 ? I know it is on the later models but honestly I haven't checked on the '03.

Here's a video on a later model F150 and ForScan regarding the seatbelt chime.

So I got forscan, a license and my ELM327 up and running. In the IC (AS Built) module, if I follow the video's step, I don't see a matching code. However, when I run the non-AS Built IC module, I can see a message stating the belt minder is disabled... However, I still see the red warning sign on the instrument cluster and get the chime?!

And bada-bing, the chime is gone. I cleared the fault codes but made no further changes. Weird.

Now I need the hex code to disable the TPMS on this 04. The newer codes in 07+ models don't match ours...

OK, so mystery solved on the belt minder. It is set to be deactivated but apparently the light still comes on right after engine startup for a minute or so and the chime gets cycled once. AFTER that, the light turns off and stays off, as well as the chime.
