blinking air bag light

hello, this is my first time trying this so I hope I do it right. I have a 2005 eddie bauer and when I start the truck the air bag light blinks 4 times then 2 times until I put it in drive then it stays on. I seen on line that it might be the left side crash sensor but I'm not sure and I don't know where it is located.

if the light is flashing 4times then 2 times if I read the manual correctly it indicates the following

42 Restraint System — Impact Sensor Status (Front Impact Severity Sensor Circuit Fault)

other than that I have no idea what to advise you

Depending on your experience you may want to get a copy of;

Ford workshop manual on DVD. Can be obtained from seller "morpheousking" on e-bay. Cost about $15.00 Much better than Clymer, Haynes or Chilton and also includes wiring diagrams

Don't waste your money on a Clymer, Haynes or Chilton Manual.
It is well worth the $15.00 just make sure you get the DVD for your year as the seller has different DVD's for different years

You may not want to attempt any repairs or adjustment on the airbag system unless you are qualified and experienced in this area

IMO this is one thing I would leave to those that work on these systems
