Seeing the size of our grille, if a thick enough mesh is not used its gonna look horrible bc you can see right through it. That picture has some editing done to it and you can stille see through it.

I know this first hand bc they used my old car as a test car for grilles and that was the number one problem.

Go to Home Depot and get some of that fencing material or gutter guard and spray paint it black? I'm sure they sell rivets there as well. :D

I've been considering one of these for my 2001.

Anyone tried one of these yet? Or have any thoughts on the manufacturer?

I was being semi-serious about the Home Depot comment. People do it all the time to "make" a mesh grille. Search up "Home Depot mesh grille" on google.

I know you were. Back in my Jeep days, that was a pretty decent way to dress up the grill, but I really don't want my honeycomb grill showing through it. That's why I was hoping someone had tried one of these before I dropped the $150. I like that it is a smaller mesh and that the honeycomb gets removed before installation.

yea i had the street scene speed grilles in my 97 f150... they look real good just a little too flimsy for me, plus you have to perform surgery on your oem grille sheel to make it work.. i was looking for more of a blacked out and riveted look along with a bolt on or remove n replace application
