I have 17" snow tires from my Chevy Suburban that I would like to put on my 2020 Expedition Max. I found wheels that someone is selling locally from a 2008 Expedition, wheel size 17x8, with the same tire size as the snows coming off of the suburban. Does any one see any reason that the 2008 wheels would not fit on my 2020 Expedition?

As far as I can tell, they will fit fine. I haven't heard about any issue with offset, such as with Raptor wheels, or longer axles- such as with F150 wheels. Thoughts?? Thanks in advance.

Looks like if you get the right lug nuts for your 2020 they would work. Why not just look for wheels that are from your particular generation though?

Wouldn’t he just reuse he’s existing lug nuts? He just seems to want a set of winter and summer wheels, so he can easily swap between them? He already has the wheel nuts for he’s 2020 (holding he’s summer wheels on), so it sounds like the other wheels would fit fine.

Couldn't say for sure, but the existing lugs are 1.5 and the lugs for the older wheel are 2.0. So, he may need the specs of the older wheel to hold the older wheel on due to the difference in length? Dunno?

But the 1.5mm and 2mm is the pitch of the thread, not a length, so the later models use a finer pitch, but same length, so the wheel nuts already on his car, should work perfectly with the old wheels.

And that is why I said "dunno". LOL. Couldn't remember the details on lug nuts since it's been about 50 years since I worked on cars routinely.

Thanks for clarifying.

Don't forget the taper must be the same on the lug nuts and wheels.
