I have a 2009 Expedition EL and the liftgate quit working from the outside button and rear inside button. It does still work from the dash button and key fob button. Someone suggested checking that the liftgate was not turned off in Message Center. When I checked, it is neither on nor off. It won't let me select either on or off. See attached picture. Has anyone else seen this or have a fix for it? I checked Google and could not come up with anything on this. Thanks!

I had the same issue and this worked. I believe this resets the liftgate module.

I started with the liftgate open

Disconnect the battery for 20 seconds, then reconnect it.

Manually close and latch the liftgate.

Power open the Liftgate with the button on the dash or remote.
