My 2015 Expedition with 94K miles on it, has thrown a P0299 Low Boost Pressure code several times. Most of the time it has been while towing my cargo trailer. The most recent time was while driving in the mountains, without the trailer. I have researched the code and know the probable causes. My new concern is, the turbo is squealing under brisk acceleration. With addition of the noise, I wonder how close it’s getting to failure. Who else has experienced this combination of events, especially with the squealing noise?

Did you check your charge air cooler hoses or for broken exhaust manifold bolts?

Utah, I received those suggestions from an Ecoboost group and haven’t had time to do it yet. Those are definitely on my todo list.
