Cruise didn't work when I got my 99. Google explained about the recall and the secondary switch on the master cylinder. Fuse was blown so I replaced that and tried cruise and it blew again. Replaced and drove a while without trying cruise and fuse did not blow verifying it's the cruise circuit. Pic below is the harness on the master cylinder. I don't know if this is the original or the update. I have no qualms about bypassing the secondary switch to get the cruise working. I need the cruise as my bad knee doesn't like long trips if I have to keep my foot on the gas. What's the next step?

That is the updated harness. If your fuse is blown, it means the brake pressure switch is leaking and shorting out internally and needs to be replaced.
