Cruise Resume Inop

I have a 2016 Expedition, 114K miles, HD Tow Package, all wheel drive, original owner. The Cruise Resume button just stopped working. Everything else associated with the cruise functions, set, accel, decel, on, off, but no resume? Anyone encounter this?

Wondering if the switch is bad. Does this same button work to CNCL cruise control? Will only RSM cruise speed if cancelled by this switch or the brakes.

Likely dirty switches - which are appallingly expensive to replace.

Can I spray WD40 on/in the switch, will that help if it happens again?
