EBAY replacement billet or mesh grilles.

I get the feeling from some of the descriptions that some of them somehow fit OVER the existing grille, not replace it?
How was the fit and function of a cheap ebay grille for you?

I bought one of the scab grilles for my then new '05 EB. It lasted on there about a month before I broke down and bought a real billet grille. The scabs attach with nylon ties most of the time and unless you paint the oem grille behind it, you can stll see it.

theyre called bolt-overs...depending on the eye (mine...lol)...they look ok from a distance but if youre going to put that on...get a cut out and have the cleaner look

From the Ebay picture I'm not so sure what it is but most replacement grilles are over 150$. I bought a T-Rex vertical grill plus the additional lower grill and it was over 400$. That makes me think it's a boltover. I'll have to really look through my old digital files to find a pic. Haven't had that vehicle since 2008. Here is a link to the one I had

Not true on cost for eBay grills...I bought mine for $100...been 8yrs with no problems...and that's for top and bottom...I've seen them as low as $88 for the combo...I'm going to buy a vertical billet grill top and bottom for $100
