Thinking of picking this up today as it seems like a pretty decent price for the Amazon Deal of the Day.

That is a good option too. I prefer the one with the cord as I have more options for location. Thanks for sharing though.

Nobody looking at sub 150W inverter is running any motors off it which would be the only thing that would care much about a stepped sine vs pure sine. Most people want to plug in their laptop or small TV which all just convert it back to DC anyway.

.
My 2014 EL has a 150W built in to rear console, handy for certain things. I don't know if that was part of an upgrade group or what since I bought it used. Used it to recharge batteries for camera & power tools for example while camping. It turns off after 13 minutes unless engine running

you said you only use sine wave inverters, thats not a sine wave inverter!!!

You are correct on that as that one is just DC to DC for the Panasonic Toughbook mount, however I also use in my '16 Expy a Samlex America PST-300-12 300w pure sine wave inverter.

get a 300 or 400 watt if you want an inverter with a power cord on it. You will be happy later you did! I used a 400 watt for years, till I upgraded to a 2000 watt. You can run about anything off of it!

Anyone know the AC current type out of the 150 watt outlet in the back of the center console? Pure or Square sine wave?

The AC power adapter for my laptop is rated at over 6 amps but is presently drawing less than 0.25 amps. Battery is full.
