I tried searching the forum but didn't find anything related to this so here goes. I have a Gen 3 2013 Expedition EL Limited. The fan for the front vents goes on and off. The culprit appears to be a bad connection under the dash on the passenger side. Has anyone else had a problem with this? The connection visually appears to be okay, however driving down the road sometimes I have to get the wife to wiggle the connection with her foot in order to get the fan to come back on. I didn't know if this could be fixed by a simple connection replacement or if there might be something bigger at play.

Just went through the whole process and it looks like the cause of the problem was the draw from the blower motor. I started with a blower motor resistor amd it worked great for 2 day, then I replaced the cannon plug and blower motor resistor. Once again worked like a champ for 2 days all speeds and then it would fail to blower full blast even with system off. So finally I got a new blower motor and another motor resistor and so far so good. The cabin noise went down quite a bit and also noted the replacement motor had a much beefer armature. It seems the old blower was drawing to many amps and burning up the control resistor. Good luck and If there is more to this I will post and update 20191206_131250.jpg
