Finally found our 2018 Expedition Platinum Max

My wife and I have been patiently waiting for the right one to come along. We noticed one was posted at a dealer about 2 hours north of us so we took a drive today. Said Expedition has just under 15k miles and is in excellent condition. After making a Salesman basically cry and stomp off like a baby we made the deal with the GM and we signed papers.

We paid $55k plus we had some good equity in our 2016 F150 so traded that in and got what I wanted without much fight.

I think we did well.

Now to buy some interior accessories.

Good job and congrats. I put weathertech floor and cargo mats and weathertech mud flaps. I also put a bug deflector on the front as my windshield was picking up bugs and rocks like crazy.

I'm in the process right now finding what I want to get. We have 2 Saint Bernards that we will have with us at times. I'm sold on the Husky liners had them on the our F150.

Thinking about the Canvasbacks for the cargo area overall protection.

I went with Husky in the rear cargo area and they're s good fit. I got a deal on OEM all weather mats and they also work great but may not be the best design for extreme Northern climates.

I had WeatherTech's in my last vehicle and was never 100% happy with the fit (many gaps where the sidewalls would not conform properly).

I got Husky's with my Expy. Very satisfied with the fit. Even in the cold weather, they were ale to lay flat. I got the full set of first row, second row, and cargo area.

I, also, went with Husky liners from Weathertech in the old truck. The Weathertech aren't bad, but I do think the Husky liners are better. Just put in the Canvasback liners for the cargo, third row and second row (that carpeting material grabs every bit of dirt, dust, wood splinter, dog hair within a 5 mile radius...)

Oh, I added Weathertech mud flaps. Fitting was easy, but I'm not happy with the front ones: they have a forward facing 'notch' to allow the powered running boards to clear. I have the XLT w/o power boards so it is unnecessary. The fronts are also a bit short. Rears are great, however.

Those of you with the rear cargo liners, did you do the full length that goes under the third row or just behind the third row? I had the full length in my Suburban but not sure how the power seats play with a full liner under them.

Since I will rarely ever have the third row seats up, I went with the entire length up to the second row seats. I have the Husky one, but an hoping to get the Canvasback sides and second row bucket "blocker" so the dogs stay in the back and not start roaming the whole cabin.
