Thanks, i have just bought a pry bar for this.Leverage on a simple pry bar popped it out for me. The one I used was a Stanley 12" Wonder Bar or something similar.
Pretty easy job. I changed the front diff in my 17 Expy a little over a month ago and pulling the axles was part of it. A large screw driver on each side of the axle should be enough to pop it out if you don't have the right tool. If not, you might have to step up to a larger pry bar. Be real careful of the IWE. You need to squeeze it closed and throw a vacuum cap on it otherwise you'll run into problems with it coming apart.anyone know about for a 2017 driver side?
No. Check your other post.Do i need to open the diff to take the CV axle off? There seems to be a retaining ring.
Did you read what I posted for you?So where does that retaining ring come into play? Do I have to drop the entire diff or do you think I can leave it in the frame?
