Gear shift Cable??

How hard is it to replace the Gear shift
cable on a 1999 Expo???
It's stuck in my ex's driveway(it runs fine
i just can't put it in gear)so i will have to
add towing (about 125.00)to the repair bill
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

not all that bad. The mechanic shouldn't charge for more than an hour or hour and a half if even that much.
