Our fees from what you described is double in San Francisco. An expired meter is $72.00. if you park in a yellow commercial truck zone, you get towed. Towing is a minimum of $600.00 to get your vehicle back. Seems like they get you guys up front with huge fees, then go easy after that. Even the big heavy 2019 Expedition at 5400 pounds can easily top 120 mph, but maximum legal speed in California is 70 mph or 113 km. Wonder how fast you could ring out the 400 hp twin turbo on your Autobahn? Sure would work well in your winter snow.

Huh... quite different in Los Angeles:

Yellow curb: hours of enforcement are 7am – 6pm Monday – Saturday (= free nighttime parking, free Sunday parking)

I looooove LA yellow curbs, it's one of the few places you can legally park for free. Few people know this, so it's usually empty too.

German Autobahn :Big Laugh: I like that naming.
About 50% are without a speedlimit. That's quite nice, e.g if your're returning from a business trip in the late hours with less traffic :)

My company cars are a BMW 320d (4 cylinder/max speed around 230 kmh) and a BMW 530d (6 cylinder, 260kmh). Driving with one of these at higher speed is really nice and comfortable.
A 2019 Expy can run very fast, too. But I think this car isn't built for such speeds. It's to heavy and the breaks are not designed to stop this big SUV in a short distance.

You took a 320d 4-banger to 230 km/h???

Well damn.... my 335d tops out at the electronic limiter, iirc 131mph / 210km/h

Not sure I'd want to do that with the small brakes on a 320d...

Actually Adieu, our yellow commercial meters are also 6:00 pm limit, with no Sunday's. Probably in LA it's like SF, where the tow trucks are lined up to catch the poor slob that parked in the 3:00-6:00 tow away signs. They pluck them out in less than 5 minutes at $600.00 a car, more if it's Friday. If you don't get to the impound yard in time, 8:00 pm, they get towed to a bigger yard across town. Price jumps another $600.00 per day.

Yes, that possible with the '15 320d. It has 184hp and no limiter.
The '15 330d has a speedlimiter, but this stops at 260kmh (about 160mph).

Its San Francisco. People expect to get screwed in pretty much anywhere and anything they do. The city makes all the [emoji383]. Want to invest in a no lose proposition? Buy into San Francisco city bonds. This town never seems to lose. In the past, like year 1900, the mayor and all his lawyers were on the take. Next to Chicago in the 30's with Capone, this is probably the most corrupt. But they do it legally now.

Yes 184hp ;) the actual version has 190hp.
It's quite normal here, that 2.0l diesel engines have 150 to 190hp.
On the other site, bigger petrol engines like V6 or V8 are not very popular. So you have to look other countries like the US to find such cars.
One of the only V8 you can buy at a normal dealer is the Ford Mustang, other cars like Camaro, or a F150 must be imported. :bawl:
