just wanted to introduce myself, just got my first Expedition, a used 2003 XLT 4x4 in great condition, I'm a big guy and wanted something I was comfortable in after "downsizing" from selling my 2009 Dodge Ram, So far I love this thing, looks good, very roomy, runs great, will pull my trailer and will be great for vacations. Plus a do some woodworking so on the days I dont want to pull my trailer I can still lay the seats down and haul some lumber if I need to.
the only downsides so far, and its only from buying something used, the tires that are on it are BFG all terrians, while a great tire in itself, it is a little louder than I want but they are brand new so I'll wear them out before replacing them, I do want to turn the white walls in though.
It also has moisture in one headlight i need to fix or replace. And although it had a clean carfax with 2 owners I have a sneaky suspicion it may have been wrecked at some point. The lower front plastic valence is a grey while the plastic around the bottom of the doors and rear bumper are more tanish, but there is no other real sign of a wreck (different color paint, pin striping, off colored engine compartment paint, etc) so I'm not sure.
I'm looking at maybe replacing the grills with a billet style grill and the headlights with halo led black projectors. But neither is a necessity so we will see.
Anyway, I like to read and learn so I will lurk a bit and see what I find. Here's a pic for anyone interested...
