How many miles do you have on your Gen 1?

2001 with only 72k

im wondering if this truck will run much longer but from reading these posts its not uncommon for these trucks to reach 150k? mine has given me very little problems outside of breaks and tires, mechanic says breaks go because of the weight the truck has to stop.

It'll last just tAke care of it, regular maintenance etc..
I have over 200k on my 98. In Michigan with the harsh winters full of salt.

Our recently totaled '98 had 191K on it's 4.6 and was still running strong. Our "new" '97 has only 114K on it's 5.4

197,032 miles on my 2000 XLT 5.4, No sparkplug issues (stripped/broken),
original motor and trans/transfer case.
I just started to experience a shudder when taking off, but seems only when driven at least 30/40 miles or more, something is getting hot.. oil?, torque converter?? ...time to figure that one out. I love this vehicle, its taken care of me..

222K small issues here and there, nothing to cry over other than rear end but that was the lube shops that forgot to fill it but claims it all leaked out though no sign of mess on or around rear diff. Have to get it rebuilt.
