Hello everyone. My name is Shaun from Lake In The Hills,IL. As the title states I just purchased a 01 Expedition with 188k. I'm currently in the middle of a few modifications. Cold air intake, Flowmaster cat-back, SCT tuner, and a mechanical trans temp gauge to monitor the 4R100. Looking forward to sharing intrest and advice with fellow Expedition owners.

I'm going to T into the cooler line leaving the transmission. Im in the process of removing the center console and drilling the hole to run the lead. Trans is stock and I dont have plans to tow but I'm driving to FL in a couple weeks and want to keep an eye on the temp since it will be hot out and Tenn has quite a bit of inclines.

I did mine a little bit differently, and that I installed a remote transmission filter kit and tapped into the housing to install a transmission temperature probe that runs to a gauge installed in my dash.

you could also consider a blue tooth OBDII device, the torque pro app and a smart phone or tablet that way you could monitor both incoming and out going temps to see how well the trans cooler is working
