I'm looking to switch my tires and wheel set up. With that being said, how many of you are running 35" tires either on the RL 3/2 or the Bilstein 5100.

Currently running 33/12.5/22 on a RL 3/2, will be replacing with Bistein at some point.

TIA

I would keep the 33’s. They look better and fit better. I need a different offset, maybe a +18 instead of the +12’s but after everything settled with the Ready Lift I ended up doing a lot of trimming. Everything clears pretty good now I have been able to off road it as much as you would want in a family wagon.

Thanks Fozzy..

I may do that.. I have another set wheels I'm going to buy tires for and put on either my truck or one of fleet trucks. I just bought my VP a new truck and it's delivered tomorrow with alll set up from 4WP and may look at swapping with him. I'm trying to decide if I want 20" wheels or keep my 22". As much as I tow and go driving in pastures/off road I would be pissed with hitting one on something. That's why I was debating on 35" tires.

I went with 20’s and I wish I would have gotten the 18’s. We take our side by sides to the dunes, Moab, the desert and mountains. Some times we have to go through a little crap to get there. Plus you can still curb 20’s on 35’s. So far I have totally enjoyed the SUV over a truck for everything but it needs a little more clearance. If I could put a 6” lift on it it would be perfect.

Looks great & love the set up. I have a set Hostile Exiles 20x9 I took off my old truck. I'm running 33" on a set of 22" Fuel wheels (not crazy about anyway). I agree with ya.. I would love a 4" lift, 6" would be a PITA for me. I have been trying to figure out a way to try different Bilstein set ups without killing me and change the UCA as well. Or I may trade my VP on his truck, he ordered 17", he hasn’t seen yet so I maybe ok..

Anything 2” and above (not using a spacer) you will need UCAs. The ICON kits says you don’t need them I would still run them.

Granted I have a 16 but I am up 2” on F150 Bilstein 5100s and absolutely need UCAs. I have Fox 2.0s and BDS UCAs sitting in the garage waiting to get a chance to install them.

SPC control arms are likely your best bet as they are adjustable.
I bought the BDS hoping to fix my issue not realizing they were designed specifically for the Fox 2.0s so had to go with Fox for the Coilovers.

As for tires mine are pretty much a 33.5x11 on factory 18” wheels and they are just right in my opinion.
Tires are not outrageous in price, they don’t stick out of the wheel well (something I personally dislike) there is no need to trim (something that will be certain with 35x12.5 and likely 33x12.5). These 33s will handle any terrain these big rigs are capable of.
