Loose noise in rear

I have a 2008 Expo and when I hit a bump in the road with the rear tires it sounds like the hatch or something inside is loose. Makes a thud noise. I've tried wiggling the back hatch and glass. None of which have any sort of play to it. Just wondering if anybody else has/had the same problem.

Is your spare tire and winch cable tight? Is there anything loose in the jack tool compartment?

you could check the suspension parts underneath as well, but my vote is with C5coupe, probably something in the rear cargo or the spare tire
