What is the maximum tire size ya'll are running or have confirmed will fit on the 4th gen expeditions WITHOUT a lift/level? If you happen to know the offset, tire width, and if any trimming was needed it would be great.

I know I can't be the only one searching this out. Thank you in advance for your contribution.

16plati, thank you for the single data point. I have done an exhaustive forum search and have determined a single reference location with updated and clear information (similar to what you have provided) would benefit myself and others.

*edit, I should also point out for others that 16 Plati’s data point is for a gen 3 not gen 4. This maybe a non issue but I would prefer data from actual gen 4 installs.

I understand. From what I’ve gathered, the most noticeable difference between 15-17 and 18+ is the spring rating. I would bet there is similar clearance measurements between the two generations, however, I understand your concern for needing 4th gen data. Have you looked at customwheeloffset.com? The two they have are as follows:

I’ve been told the 0.5” spacer in the top vehicle is due to the axle bolt clearance issue. Put that on there to negate it. Hope this helps

A coworker has a 2017 with 275/65r20s completely stock, I doubt they would fit on my 2018 stock. I think a 33” tall tire no wider then a 295 should fit with the right offset. I run stock size 275/65r18s on an 18x9 wheel with a +10 offset (5.4” backspacing) so my tires stick out and I could probably run a 275/70r18 before I have any rubbing issues.
