Navigator and Expedition Transfer Case

Do you know if Navigators and Expeditions had the same transfer cases? I have a possibility to put a working TC from 2005 Navigator to my 2003 Exped. It looks the same but the Navi has got the AdvanceTrac so I don't know if it will fit?

AFAIK all Expedition/Navigator and electric-shift F150s use the same transfer case. Any difference in functionality is accomplished by electronic control modules or a different control switch. For instance, 99-up 1st Gen Expeditions deleted 2-Hi mode from the switch, although the transfer case remained the same.

so rocket, are you saying that if i put in a switch and ecu module from a 98 expy, i can run my expy in 2wd instead of the A4WD?

I think both car can use the transfer case switch. The only difference is its functionality and switch. Hope this will help.

that would be nice for you guys with the a4wd only. it wouldnt hurt to try. nvy want to try it one day. go to fiesta so we can see if your getting the rear to spin? if not then it didnt do anything.

Nvy, have you been able to try the brown wire mod yet? I would be interested in trying to change the switch, but for some reason, my auto4 doesn't work, but high and low do.
