hey i'm new to the forum and looking for some info. first off i am looking to buy an expy el/max. just wondering what problems if any are common with these, or what to look for when buying. also what kind of real world milage can i expect, i know this is a full size suv and i' going to be coming out of a ram 2500 hemi. any numbers would be great, city, highway or towing. also how is the expy towing? especially near the 7000lb range

any info or advice would greatly be apreciated

There are tow mirrors but not as good as there are for pick-ups. I pull a 30' Travel trailer about that weight and it does ok. I had a 2001 F150 and it did better but I had more mods to the old truck. I have just put a CAI on mine as of now. Exhaust and programmer will come soon.

The biggest problem we all have is when you catch the modding bug.... there is no cure for it except doing more mods.... but then that only lasts a while, and you have to do more..... :hmm:as a matter of fact while I was writing this , I just thought of something i can mod on my Expy.... I have to go now:biggrin:

Try to find the EL/Max in the model years that offered the 3.73 if you're gonna be in the neighborhood of 7000 lbs towing. The usual 3.55 put in them now make it a bit of a dog when loaded.
Best mods?? Check my signature.

All EL's came with 3:73's . Only on the regular length was it an option.
