old school fosgate amps

Ok I have a guy wanting to sell me a couple old school fosgate amps... a punch 4040 and a punch 100xi... I don't needs high and mid amps... im needing sub amps... I know old school fosgate amps are under rated as hell but would the 4040 push a couple. Decent 12's? And maybe the 100xi push a couple decent 10's?... idk... input please?

Both of those amps will push double what they are rated at. I love old school amps, I have an old PPI PC2150 that I am just waiting for the right sub so I can hook it up.
