My ‘25 Platinum didn’t come with an owners manual. There is an “owners manual supplement” in the glove box, but that’s it. My dealer is saying they don’t come with printed copies anymore.

Is that true? Did anyone get an owners manual?

How about the rear cargo area cover? Are those supposed to be standard on a Platinum?

Thank you in advance.

I found that. And had a copy. But was curious if it’s true that the vehicle is not delivered with a hard copy of an owners manual.

It’s true.

GM has also stopped providing printed owner’s manuals on all of their vehicles too.

My 2024 Expedition did not come with an owners manual. A friend has a 2022 Bronco that did not come with an owners manual.

The last TV I bought didn't come with an owners manual. The last cell phone I bought didn't come with an owners manual.

Manufacturers have figured out that a large number of people never read their owners manual. So, they are cutting costs by not printing them.

As for the rear cargo area cover, I don't think that's standard equipment. There's a Dealer Installed Option in the order guide called "Cargo Area Platform Cover" which is listed as optional equipment. Not sure if that's the cargo cover that you are looking for. Maybe stop by the parts counter to see if they can help you.

Okay. Thanks all.

Has anyone figured out how to turn off the auto locking doors?

I think PRINTED owner's manuals went the way of the CD players. Our 2019 Expy came with a printed one, but I think it was the last year. I downloaded the whole thing to my Kindle. It's actually easier to use than a printed one. It also fits in the glove box.

My 22 did not have one either so I bought one on line from printer. Can not remember the name. About $40 back then. Also I got the rear cover from ford when I got the other 3 rubber ones so I’m not using the carpet ones now. FYI the ford rear is great it covers the hole rear when the third row folded. Sticks with Velcro really well.

I have a 2022 Expedition and that did not come with an owners manual. I down loaded so it on my computer plus it's on the Ford Pass app and I can pull it up on the screen in the vehicle.

Ford no longer uses that tagline because it is not true.
And "Profit Is Job 1" just doesn't have the same ring to it LOL.

Honestly, I think every automaker is having issues, because 5 years ago they were all planning for the ICE / EV light duty vehicle mix to be very different today than it is.

Now they are doing everything they can to stretch every .1% more MPG out of these ICE vehicles that they didn't think they would be building to meet tightening CAFE standards.

By doing so, they are adding systems, complexities and problems that did not previously exist.

Smaller displacement engines with complicated controls and power adders to provide the power American drivers insist on.
Smaller bearing surfaces and thinner oil viscosities to reduce friction beyond reasonable engineering.
Start stop systems that add additional wear and tear to mechanical and electrical systems.
10 speed transmissions, where 6 and 8 easily met the need.
Over complicated ECM and BCM management systems.
