Rear struts

Looking for strut assemblies for my 2019 expedition xlt. How do I know if it has ccd or a heavy duty tow package. I doubt I have either but I'd like to make sure before assuming.

CCD will have a wire running from the strut to a harness at the frame

HD tow if you have an actual trailer controller on the dash. Also look underneath the truck at the hitch. Depending on trim, but if your tow rating plate on the underside of it is 9K+, you have it as well.

Ok so I looked and didn't see anything plugged into strut so I'd assume it's not ccd.

I dont have any trailer control like brake control or anything
I'll have to see if I can find the rating plate and see but I really doubt it's hd tow.
The plate is on the hitch itself ?

Yes, on the bottom as you look from the ground up. I think there’s a build code on the B Pillar label, but forget what it is. But at this point with not having the trailer controller, you have the standard setup.

I figure it's standard as I'd imagine I'd have a trailer brake control at the least if it was hd tow

I do not have HD Tow or any trailer controller but my hitch displays a 9k capacity label. So, that label alone is not enough to tell you what your vehicle is capable of.

Another method is to look at the B-Pillar label. I believe the only way for a 3.73 and/or eLSD is through the HD Tow. Everything else non-HD has 3.31.

Taken from another discussion thread:
Just below the bar code, you should see the word AXLE and a two-digit code (code 10=Non-Limited slip diff with a 3.15 gear ratio, code 15= Non-Limited slip with a 3.31 gear ratio, code=3L indicates a limited slip diff with a 3.73 gear ratio).
