Jim, no, there is no separate tank. Atleast on my 1997, the washer fluid pump spins backwards to provide fluid to the rear window in relation to the windshield. If you are not able to get fluid to the rear window, I would look at replacing the rear washer relay and seeing if that fixes your problem. If it doesn't, then let me know and I will give you a few checks to do. Do you know how to use a multimeter?

Thanks Thermo.
My problem is....different.
I was trying to get washer solution to the tailgate window & nothing was happening when I noticed, drip, drip, INSIDE the car, along the trim to the headliner. A little investigation showed the washer hose went from the tailgate to ....nowhere. Evidently, somewhere along the headliner I guess the hose that runs from the washer fluid reservoir in the engine compartment to the tailgate is disconnected. If there was a separate reservoir for the tailgate washer I simply wanted to empty it to prevent washer spray from coming out of my headliner! Since there is only one reservoir I guess I either have to find the break or simply not use the rear washer sprayer.
Anyone know approx. where this line runs? I can't find it, w/o tearing out my headliner...

I had the same problem. No need to pull down the headliner. The line runs along the door jambs on the passenger side, then up through the c-pillar trim. Remove the rear dome light, remove the trim around the hatch, and pull the headliner down just enough and you'll see a splice in the line. I guess they just work loose sometimes.

I had a similar problem and checked the line coming in from the fire wall. The line had disconnected and was basically dumping all the fluid into the passenger side door jamb and out the body and on the ground. took apart the door jamb and the panel that hides the suspension switch and reconnected the tube. Viola! it now works and doesn't leak!
