So, the rear wiper quit working.....again. Last winter, I had to tear it apart and clean/lubricate the wiper mechanism and that took care of the problem. So I expected that to be the issue again...and it was seized up (salty roads) but now I have it well oiled and moving easily but still not working. It appears as though the "disk" that is what actuates the wiper isn't turning even when the back glass is up. Its also popping the fuse. I'm thinking that maybe when it seized up, my wife left it on and it burned up the wiper motor. Would that cause the fuse to pop? I'm not getting anything else to happen...no clicking, etc.

Thanks!
Chris

I don't have an answer for you as to why the fuses are blowing but I have the same problem as you in my 07. I'm just getting ready to buy a new wiper motor once the weather starts getting warm and hopefully that'll solve my problem. I did tell the wife not to use the rear wiper since it'll get stuck half way up anyways and to avoid anything shorting out.

Just pull the fuse for the rear wiper that way it can't be accidently turned on
