removing roof rack...

...anyone take these off a expedition? repainting my truck....i seen tork screws......was thinking of removing early and seal holes with silicon till i put back.

truck might lQQk nice without roof rack.....

just wondering if theres problems anyone experience if in fact they took one off....txs

I've had mine off for a while. Granted, I have the next model year from you, but it shouldn't be much different. Makes for a much cleaner look.

I just left the screws in.

mine's a '97 eb. had my rack off for years. cleaner look, visibly "lowers" the appearance of the truck and just fewer things out there in the slip stream. screws back in neat and tidy.

great!....gonna do it next weekend.

i did see a few without roof rack....does look cleaner but takes that truck look a LITTLE away.

we will see after paint.....
