I have a 2024 (not Max) XLT with factory roof parallel roof rack. I installed the Rhino Rack kit that uses the factory holes to mount cross bars. I then installed a Packasport roof box and River Smith fly rod box. The setup works perfectly and installed as advertised. I am chasing down some harmonic issues at speeds over 75mph (I am in Montana and everything is over 75) but around town I am getting a creeking and rattle at slow speeds. I have identified the noise coming from the middle brace where the parallel bars attach to the truck. From my research the factory roof bars are screwed in on the front and rear but just slide onto the middle brace. Does anyone have any ingenious way that I could tighten that connection? I can replicate the noises by grabbing the factory bars and pushing/pulling the truck side to side so I know this is the problem? I am open to anything and I am very handy :)IMG_0674.jpegIMG_1841.jpeg

I tried everything and there was just no way to get something into the seem without taking everything apart and doing some modification to the parts. So, I just drilled some 1/4” holes, threaded them and screwed in some 1/4x2” SS bolts and walaaa, the noises are gone. We will see how long they work but at least now I know for sure what the issue is. I plan to get something custom made for the roof in the future anyway. Attached is a picture with the bolts in place.
