stuck between 2" & 3" spacers

Which one should i get? i sold my brush guard and im wondering if i should level my expo with a 2" spacer or just step it up to the 3" spacer. and if i get the 3" should i get new shocks while im at it? and whats the biggest tire i can fit in the rear with minimal rubbing at full tuck?

I don't know too much about it, but I think with a 3" spacer and the torsion bars you should be able to fit 33's.

I just got my 2" spacers and 3" body lift in the mail.

I'm doing that and the torsion twist for a total of 5 inches of lift and I'm going with the 35 inch BFG A/T's... I'm hoping it'll look the way I want it to.

i already have the torsion crank and i know a 2" spacer will level it. im hopping 34s will fit. ill just have to steal nvys wheels and see if itll fit.

I asked myself the same question and I thought of it this way... if you're offroading and you get stuck by just barely not clearing something, you're going to be mad at yourself for not getting the extra lift. I figured overall you benefit most from getting the 3" and from what I've read you can fit 35s or go with some wide 33's for better handling on the street.

okay ill get the 3. and save money with the spacer? HA! it a $2 difference between the 2 on ebay. cause with the shipping for the 2 it adds to the same of the 3. so ill get the 3. now do i need longer shocks or will the ones i have now do fine?

You should not need longer shocks, but if you feel they are due for replacement, you have a reason to justify it more. You can easily fit 33,s on 10" wheels with no lift. You can fit 35,s on 10" wheels with either or, but I went both...3" BL and 2" spacers. Chances are you will have to trim some of the lower valance when you step up to 33,s. I had to do both the valance and inner portion of the running boards

stop being such a girl panda!!!! hahahha. get the 3" then come by my house and put one of my wheels on. i have my nitto's on my truck now with 18x9 wheels. or you can try my 365/65/16's on a 16x10 wheel. see which you like best.

okay jeez guys! ill get the 3". not sure when im going to get a chance to order them since i dont really trust my bank right now to put the money in there. but ill get to it eventually. i spend like all the money today but saved enough for the spacers. i told my gf i needed it for my truck. haha so im gonna order the 3" and let you guys know how it all fits. gonna look funny with the 265s on but at least they wont rub at anderson. haha

The stock shocks don't need to be replaced but they will wear out faster (if you have the original shocks still then they might already be worn out)

I recently put the 3" rear spacers and cranked up my torsion bars in the front. It sits level, well looking at it from the side, I didn't measure it. while putting the spacers on I noticed my shocks looked like stock (97). Sure enough while driving it I now get the bumping noise in the rear end. I believe the guys said in the other threads this is because the shocks are worn out on the top mounts. I didn't hear the noise until I put the spacers on so it must stress the shocks out more. Saving up for 4 new shocks. Any recommendations on brands guys.

i have rancho shocks but bilsteins are good shocks. kinda pricey though.

i need new shocks. these monroes suk bad! they squeeked within the 1st month. i think im going to call up fox and see if they can send me a set of shocks. now thats gonna be pricey! but shipping... theyre in SD so i can go pick them up. haha idk. i might go bilsten or fox. cant decide. but my rear need to be replaced along with the bushings.

Well that kinda answered a question of mine. I have read on here that with the torsion bar twist and rear spacers that you can use factory shocks. So I went to Advanced and got prices for the Monroe ??? shocks they are $44 each, front & rear same price. Are they worth it? Sounds like no.. Thanks Panda saved me wasting money.

I hope i'm not getting off subject here but, I have noticed with the 3" rear spacers my "factory shocks look like they are almost fully extended.Could this be causing the "Clunk" noise when hitting bumps(shocks maxing out)? The rear bushings worn out adding to the noise, thus its twice as loud? If I think about it I will post some pics.

yeah my dad got the shocks cause i needed new ones. he said they were good and cheap from wht was kragen. worked better then about a month later they squeaked. and i wasnt even going to the desert with them at that time. the rear is where they squeek. but yeah the factory shocks would be pulled out a lot. i liked to mess with the old shocks and the stock ones looked weird pulled all the way out. but my sway bar bushings are shot. thats whts causing the bad squeek along with the shocks.
