The REAL amount of lift

I was talking to a buddy of mine and he kept insisting that my truck was WAY more than 7" taller than a stock Expy. I said sure, once you figure in the tires, it probably is more like 9" taller.

Could someone with a bone stock '98 with the stock size wheels and tires, please measure from the ground to the underside of the wheel arches. (the highest point of the arch under the steel lip)

i have a 97 eb 4x4 with stock 265/70/17's and no lift and mine measures right around 37 more towards 36-7/8.

Thanks. Oh, forgot to ask, is that the front or rear?

See, mine is 46 3/4" in the front and 44" in the rear

24 inches to bottom of body front fender at 41.5 and rear at 42, running on 32 tsl superswampers, sure wish i was closer to 50 inches, someday, will be 2.5 inches nore all the way around when i get 35s or 36s, give or take pending on wear and tread patern, really suprized walnuts hasnt chimed in with his big numbers
