2001 Expy XLT 5.4L 110K This just started happening, as you run through the gears when it comes time to shift into overdrive there a very slight vibration that lasts maybe 2 seconds or so coming from the back of the truck, maybe the rear end?. Never happened before, I've never had any tranny trouble in the past, it's not slipping or hesitating or losing power there's just the annoying vibration. Can anyone provide any insight into this? Thanks...

No, the truck doesn't nose over at all during any shifts. And what's weird is this doesn't happen all the time, every now and then it will happen, also, I don't have the CEL on or any stored codes relating to the tranny.

i don't know what to tell you then.... check your U joints. it's just wierd that it only does it in OD... or maybe that is the only driveshaft speed you can feel it would explain that.

Didn't think of the converter clutch shudder.... nice one.... yes if the fluid isn't fresh it could cause a shudder when the converter locks which you may be mistaking for a shift into OD....
