Okay, not going to rant this go around. Been dealing with an issue since the first of the yr that occurred with my 16 Expedition while it was at the dealer for a service. Finally got some one to recognize the problem and address it after 4 months of telling them something was wrong. Could I have looked into it- yes but it was under warrenty so I opted to let the pros handle it. This thing has drug on for too ong and after several calls to Ford customer service I was still unable to get a rental before the close of business today. Its a holiday weekend and have to make a 5 hr trip next week. I've been assured if I postponed the trip til Tuesday morning I can get a rental from Enterprise at not cost for 5 days. Not terrible except for we've been without the Exp. for a week already and been having to pay mileage on a company vehicle or make do with a farm truck. Now the really frustrating part- was told that if I dont arrive back in town at the end of 5 days whether the Exp. is fixed or not that I will be responsible fo paying for the rental. Sounds simple but its not. My father-in-law is going to a specialist for heart surgery and they are elderly and I don't know what the recovery time ill be until they actually see ho much damage is there. Could be a 3 day trip could be gone all week. Ive encounter no sense of urgency from Ford or dealer as well as no appreciation for being a loyal Ford family. Pretty disgusting
