Wipers and Rain Sensing

Is the rear window wiper supposed to function when the rain sensor is "on" and working on the windshield? The rear window wiper now automatically works when the vehicle is in reverse AND the rain sensing wipers are "on".
I hate the rear window wiper. Dealership has no answer.

I don't know but it would make sense it would be on.
