Exia, the old days are long gone for us old school guys. But I haven't found anybody still wishing they had a set of points under the hood or oil bath air cleaners.

This is true, but I should have went with my gut and bought the 76 Chevelle Laguna S3 with a freshly built 327. But no I went with the 2000 Expedition, that I know crap about, and no responses to the questions I have asked.... Sorry off topic

Hi guys I went to the mechanic this morning. He did the fuel pressure test it was 31 psi (with engine running) and 40 psi (engine off but ignition key on) though he wants me to comeback to his shop again to recheck again with the fuel tank less than a quarter full because when I brought it to him it's still have a half full tank left on it. He even gave me a quote for the fuel pump replacing (the whole assembly) it will costs me $593.99 (estimate) including labor and taxes. What do you think guys?

The fuel pump cost me $110, and a few hours of work including cussing at the hose connections.
The tank isn't hard to get out if you have the tools.

Hi guys! I supposed to give an update about this issue a weeks ago but I've been busy at work and helping rearrangements at home. Anyway my trucks running fine FOR now. My mechanic said it's not the fuel pump is having a problem. It could be the something with the ECU or the ignition switch, either of two. He said if it did that "not firing" issue I'll bring it to him for further diagnostics. He did the diagnose it while it was in his shop and there are 2 codes came up; B1342 and U1147. Does anyone here what these codes mean? Thanks

Not to be rude but if your mechanic did not tell you what these codes are and what they do "FIRE HIM" apparently he is some shad tree mechanic taking you for a wallet ride..

Now your codes

B1342
ABS control module defective

U1147
Intermittent loss of power or crank no start -Possible PATS lamp flashing and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCS) U1147 and U1262 ( Data Circuit Malfunction ) Scp invalid or missing data for vehicle security

My advice get another mechanics opinion before you start spending boo koo cash.
