Try putting a bead of silicone around the outside edge of the light, where the red part meets the rest of the housing.- davesexplorer

Hunting for an Expy
Drool... love the color. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I would think you could do better than that with 55k miles on it. I know it's not exactly apples to apples but I bought my 2003 in 2005 with 33k miles for about $16,000. I would think you would be able to get one like...- davesexplorer

Unlimited money: what mods for offroading?
If you really had UNLIMITED money and really HAD to blow it on an expy... Custom suspension all the way, long travel a-arms, high enough not to have any frame contact problems. Coil over shocks all the bases covered there. Approx. 4-6" total lift. An actually useful independent suspension...- davesexplorer

Tranny Problem/Recomendation
Well rebuild will save you money, or at least should over buying a new transmission. Most new transmissions will come with a mileage warranty however. A 2005 with a dead transmission at 76k miles?? That sounds really bad...- davesexplorer

How hard is TOO hard?
Well I'm sure there's a line you can cross where the transmission will be slamming into gear but will the tuner even let you get that crazy? I haven't played around with mine enough yet I just used the 91 tune with the accompanying shift point/rpm changes.- davesexplorer

New member! Not new to Expys or other Fords!
I had the BFG A/T's before the MT's I have now and they were fine on the road, and in the light off-roading that I did. A lot of folks swear by the bridgestone A/T Revo tires, I haven't tried them out though.- davesexplorer

Intake manifold adaptors.
Well the mustang intakes are more suited to higher horsepower at higher RPM's, that isn't really what's good in our heavy trucks. You want torque to get moving. That and the primary reason those intakes exist is for the stang guys swapping 5.4 2V's in place of their 2V 4.6 with a severe lack...- davesexplorer
