yeah, who wants to mess with assembling a shock+spring when you can buy the whole assembly? With so many F150's and Expo's on the road I'm surprised Bilstein doesn't offer a complete strut assembly.- dmont

Whoa...I didn't expect OEM Ford parts to be that inexpensive! @Flexpedition thank you for doing that homework for me. I think I'll go that route. For the ~2-3 hours I'll spend working on this I definitely want good parts. Thanks everyone for your input.- dmont

Great information guys, thanks! I'm not sure if I want to lift the front end at all, even though it's only 1 1/2" higher. We have the air suspension in the rear, and it's primarily my wife's truck. I need to replace the front struts on my 2007. I'm running the originals at 215k miles! Can anyone comment on what I should look for, brand, quality, etc on a pair of front struts? O'Reilly's has MasterPro's for $159 each. Autozone has Duralasts and Sensens for similar prices. I dont' want...- dmont

Rear air suspension help
I have a 2007 and see this issue sometimes, usually only when I drive on rough road or hit significant bumps in the road. I believe it has more to do with the sensors on the rear axle being corroded and not providing accurate analog feedback to the air bag system controller when the sensor...- dmont

Fixing power seat...3rd Gen Power Seat Wiring Diagram?
Fixed! I took the seat apart this weekend and found the gearing in the motor was jammed. It appears only to jam when the seat is fully reclined, so I'll have to make sure my passenger doesn't fully recline the seat. Engine shudder
I had the same exact problem and was concerned it was my transmission. In fact it was right around 160,000 miles. I ended up changing my coil packs, and it has run smooth ever since! Easy fix, and I purchased the set from Amazon. Good luck!- dmont

+105,000 Miles, Time to Replace Shocks/Struts?
As a related question, is there a certain life expectancy of the rear air suspension components or are these simply replaced upon failure? I occasionally get a "check air suspension" notification if I drive off-road and I'm wondering if the system is starting to show some fatigue.- dmont
