Not sure if its the same trans, I read on others that there is a small dip stick under the fill plug.
It is semi sealed, the dipstick is on the side of the tranny. Not very accessible, you can change the pan fluid at home but no at home flush that I can find.
Can't do it with the newer trans. It has thermostats that only open when the fluid is hot, so the fluid(old & new) has to be hot to do a flush. Just looking to see if someone found a bypass.
That's what I'm looking at, doing a complete flush after the holidays. I bought mine new, my main concern is the trans. I think the dealer wants 250$ to do it.
Not so great at the soldering part, but I'm not colored blind lol. I have always used the scotch-lock connectors or liquid tape, and haven't had a corrosion problem yet here in Texas. I might just try it, what about adding on the factory remote start?
The plugs are straight froward, I didn't have the removal tool, or any spray when I did it, but I am the original owner. Hope it goes well for ya! Did you find any good threads on the rest of the maintenance?
How hard is it to hook up a remote start system? I plan on getting one in the near future, had it on our impala and loved it. I'm not scared to try it, I always hook up my radios, and such.

Looking to tint the tail lights, black the wheels, and replace the chrome on the front end. Any idea on where to get a stock black grille?
Is there a sticky for a good coolant flush, And Differential fluid? And what trans. maintenance if any can be done at home, such as fluid/filter change? And any other jobs needing to be done. Thanks for any help.
I changed mine at 100k with no problems, brown boot coils. Does anyone have any pictures of a broken plug? Mine had zero carbon build up, looked brand new except for wear on the electrode.
