and also one other question. if i go the body lift route. will i have to switch over to electric fans and get rid of the stock set up? because of the body being lifted up and not the engine?
so here it goes.
2000 4.6 xlt 4R70W trans and 3.55 gears and a shit ton of rust that i ended up replacing the whole front radiator support (cut and weld in a new one)
replacing all the brake lines and transmission lines and power steering lines and shocks and so on..

a couple...
so the next couple days. just working on the rocker panels. already plasma cut the old ones out.. just have to weld in new metal. and then all i should have left to do is
repair door rust
replace windshield
replace brakes and rotors
vac and recharge the ac system. ( installed new setup.)
just an update. got the new radiator support in place and welded in. and the front end put back together. it all lined up pretty well. the eco version of the radiator support fit very well. there were some spots that i had to sorta bend to fit right. like at the sides that slid into the body...
For the lines that go along the frame. Yes I made my own. But for the lines that go to each wheel I bought them from rockauto.com and yes they are in the list.
i bet. my brother had a lightning. burnt tires everywhere. i also pulled fuse 104 because of the a4wd kicking in while turning.. at first i thought something was broken. but seems to be a common thing with these suv's .. i'll be cutting the brown wire here soon.
total plus shipping came to like 700 bucks in all . sheet metal is cheap like 35 bucks for a 4 ft by 8 ft sheet of 20 gauge steel. i'm just going to copy the door form and cut out the rust and weld in new metal and then bed liner the lower part of the xlt. like the rocker panels and the bottom...
i've gone to the junkyard near by b&H auto
they are charging 400 bucks for one door. thats pretty much the price for a brand new door. they wouldnt give me just the skin
