    Chasing the issue on the front end!

    Just a thought. The flexible brake lines on front of these trucks , collapse with age, on the inside , causing a one way check valve , not allowing pressure to release . Thus a dragging brake on one side. Good luck.

    Starting to look over vacuums for idle fluctuation & Ac defrost / panel vent issue

    these engines are prone to intake manifold leaks . both on the coolant system and on vacuum system . the plastic warps after time , can show up as several problems. Check with smoke or starting fluid. replacement only permenent solution , IF, that is the source of your problem

    Just my two cents, All testing for power to rear wiper must be done with rear door closed and latched. you could bypass this switch I suppose although I am not sure how.

    Back again , just an update, I have been having health problems, mostly treated and addressed. I found a broken wire in harness to compressor. I fixed that and by jumping low side switch got compressor to run . No pressure in system. Was working last season but comp. was noisy. Thanks for all...

    Yes, Thanks Stamp, I don't Know why I haven't tried that already. The print Bedrck supplied shows gray/white wire going to batt. connection box then to clutch doe's it go to a relay in the box?

    I have power at low side switch, I jumped the plug at low side switch and got no clutch operation or power at hot side of comp plug.

    I am back after working more than I wanted to, and handling those little problems LIFE likes to throw at us. Stamp was correct my leads were not small or long enough , so did get ground in black wire side of compressor plug. Still no power on hot side even with low side switch jumped . Now...

    Sorry it's been so long , but had to replace intake manifolds on both my 2000 expy's. I have been filling in at work for absent people, and time has been in short supply. I will resume work on my problem child ac this weekend .Thanks Stamp and Bedrck.

    Today I checked power at fuses #13 #23 #2 in under hood box all had voltage and fuses were good [meter tested]. Then I was called in to work so stopped checks for today . I will report when I have checked Ground in comp plug . By the way Bedrck , Owners manual shows no fuse #29 in under hood...
