Well...didnt make it home as battery died and i had to be towed...so the easy solution was the alternator failed and my battery drained out...bought a reman and installed..runs like a champ now and what i thought earlier that i had a groaning sound which usually indicates powersteering was...
I'll check with a volt meter when I get home whether the battery is good and whether the alternator is charging it... I do notice that the idle hesitates somewhat (not sure it's related). Does anyone know if the voltage regulator has a fuse for it? didnt notice it in the manual.
yea i did the tensioner because of a vid i saw from him... i think gut is telling me it has to do with the power steering tho... checking to see what i can do before considering replacing it.. maybe replace fluid, check for air in system etc.
but...with that said...thru searching it also could be idler pulley or tensioner too... it's cheaper to go this route for replacement and if it still groans afterwards, then address the pump...
well, I'm leaning that way...while swapping the belt I turned all the pulleys that freely spun and saw/heard nothing out of the ordinary. After I put new belt on and started I still heard the groan. It even changed tone when I turned the steering wheel so my guess that's it...it seemed to...
Hello,

Not sure what I did but I have no idea what I did with my key (only had 1..bought it used and forgot to make a duplicate). Does anyone know what my options are? I went ahead and ordered 2 transponder keys from "Keyless-Remotes" which should get here in a day or so. My logic plan...
funny thing...I cleared it and it would come back...one thing I did notice that at the same time my radio was acting funny like it wouldn't turn off when i turned the car off, I had to manually pull the face off to do it (aftermarket Pioneer) and my backup camera wasnt working when I put it in...
My expedition runs fine, no error error dash warnings. I was going to get my smog test done so after i started expy i plugged my reader in to see if it was in a ready state but i see a P260f error on it. Have 147k on her and shes running normal an smooth. Any ideas? I dont think she'll pass...
So, before i was gonna take to dealer i decided to have a locksmith come out and reprogram the key...he was able to reprogram but she still wouldnt start...i did mention then that i had pulled 2 fuses, the horn relay as i didnt want to disturb the neighbors and the power locks fuse which kept...
