    cannister vent hose disconnected?

Ill make sure to ask them if that's what they did. I guess I just assumed that they would have replaced the whole thing, but that may have been foolish on my part. Its a carquest shop in a tiny town in south GA that primarily focuses on minor work like tires and oil changes. I ride b!ck home...

    cannister vent hose disconnected?

Aaaand now I've got the erratic fuel guage and fuel computer error on the message screen. Taking it back to the carquest that replaced the fuel pump a couple weeks back to check for bad connections and maybe another new pump. This fuel stuff is driving me insane.

    cannister vent hose disconnected?

Rgr that thanks. I suppose the burping of fuel is likely the cannister vent solenoid, as the vent line and hose connections seem to be straight and unobstructed (other than the small broken tab in the filler neck that was identified in another thread recently....i guess the broken piece could...

    cannister vent hose disconnected?

I dropped the spare and followed the hose back to a small plastic box (fuel/water seperator?) that is connected to the charcoal canister on top of the support back there. I did see another post that looked virtually identical to the way mine looks, but found it hard to believe that Ford would...

Broken plastic piece from the fuel insert

Hmmm mine looks exactly like the broken one in the OP. Perhaps the broken piece fell down my vent pipe causing the burp of gas when the pump shuts off at full...

    cannister vent hose disconnected?

Edit: Oh and I should have also noted that when filling the tank the last couple of times it puked a little fuel out at the filler neck right when the pump cut itself off. Maybe a clogged vapor canister stressing out the system?

    cannister vent hose disconnected?

Howdy folks, Been a good long while since I've had to post here as I ditched the 98 expy for an 04 navi. Last week I had to have my fuel pump replaced (bypassed the non servicable relay to make sure it was the pump, it was the pump) at a service station in a tiny town here in S. GA. Other than...

    Overheating

When mine did this it was the water pump. Service tech showed me that my oem impeller fins had completely rusted away, thus not moving anywhere near the amount of pump action needed at speed. Cheap fix too and hasnt gone over 1/3 on the gauge since...but also change the tstat.

What did you do to the expy today

Purchased 6x22 LED amber strobe lights, 4x22 LED white strobe lights, and control box to mount on the roof rack and behind the grille. This ought to help with visibility on emergency response and roadway jobs. I also picked up a set of clear headlights to add hideaway strobes to eventually...

    egr problem,help.....

After I had 0402, I changed egr, solenoid ($65), and sensor (~$70) only to find out that I had a bad coil in #3. Once that and the corresponding plug was replaced it went away. Though that sensor does seem to be the usual culprit.

    egr problem,help.....

I just used my pass-through socket out of my overpriced kobalt extreme set with no problems. It was annoying but came right off. Those pass through sets are getting cheaper though, and I thought I'd only use em on all-thread but they've come in handy a few times now.

    Ordered my new bumper

It'll grow on you. Put a winch in there with some lights and it'll be mean. Thats how I came to love my plate bumper on the 86 bko.

Opinions with pix: New tires too small?

I love discount. They price matched my 38s on my bko, and gave me a free new (said it was a loaner but looked brand new) falken spare for the expy. I imagine the fact that Ive been taking our work vehicles there for a few years might have had something to do with that. They are quick and really...

    Help! 5.4L Under the hood

Here's what mine looks like if it helps. Looks like somebody wanted to bypass smog the cheap way After looking again everything seems a little different on yours. I see the egr, but no egr solenoid or dpfe sensor. That hose running from the valve cover through the cannister to your air intake...

    MPG difference between 4.6 2WD and 5.4 4x4?

I ran 890 miles last week (mixed miles) and only got about 15.5. Put a trailer behind it yesterday with my riding mower in it, ran 175 miles and it got about 12. Towed nicely though. Gave it an OC this morning, will check mpg again this week with another 350+ miler to Augusta and back. Coils and...
