    Maybe it’s good then for now, they are pretty heavy duty transmissions I towed a 9000 pound camper thru mountains and it took the beating with ease, when the seal finally failed my wrench light came on and had trouble with it going in reverse that’s the only reason I pulled it apart

    Hi I had the same problem on my 2007, ended up being the valve body bridge seal blew out, had the same issues until it completly blew out.

    To update everyone I found the bridge seal above the valve body to be blown out, I’ll be picking one up or ordering it tomorrow. Hopefully that fixes several issues I have been having lately.

    Driveline clunk coming to stop

    I have a 07 expedition el, drives and shifts great but feels like there is some driveline slop when it downshifts coming to a stop, makes a pretty decent clunk that you can hear. I’m at 210k I wonder if anyone had this issue and had any luck fixing it. Thanks

    It’s a thick harness so you might have to search, but you will see 2 purple wires joining into one, has some funky electrical tape joining them

    There is a splice in the harness running along the rocker inside the passenger front entry, pull the plastic panel off, find the purple wire with the white stripe, should be a 3 way split that’s where mine failed

    Sounds like a large vacume leak, check for loud hissing around the upper engine, and check all the air intake hoses for a tight fit. Could be a bad/dirty mass air flow sensor. If it runs better unplugged then it's your issue.
