Obd2 code
my 2006 expedition is throwing a code of p0420 catalyst system changed plugs last year 1 injector on cylinder 2 as well as the coil on same cylinder. Do I need a new cat or just change o2 sensor to be able to pass smog?- matt06expy

o2 sensor question
It happened late night after work and I drove it to a friends house where it was fixed. o2 sensor question
I have a 2006 expedition 4wd Eddie Bauer, last year I had a misfire happen on cylinder 2 so I ended up having to change the spark plugs since it was at 145k miles. Rack &a pinion problem
The rack & pinion is a remanufactured one from oreilly and I used Prestone power steering fluid in it. I also bought an oem one from pick n pull just in case this one goes bad soon or I decide to take that one apart and rebuild it with the inner shaft, tie rods etc.- matt06expy

Rack & pinion question?
Ok so I just installed the rack & pinion for the 2nd time in 2 weeks now, and it still makes the same noise!? I've been told it could possibly be the away bar bushings? any thoughts on this? I sprayed them down with wd-40 and grease and it did help and went away but it comes and goes now it's the weirdest thing lol. All this feedback is greatly appreciated, I'm going to change the inner tie rods tomorrow morning and go from there if it's not them, I will be changing the rack and let...- matt06expy

I have done that as well as far as having someone shake the wheel unlocked and grabbed the inner tie rods, you can feel it moving back and forth it seem as if the tie rods themselves are bad, but it can also be the inner shaft they connect to. Yes I flushed old fluid out and also had to replace passenger side outer tie rod end I used 1 outer tie rod end from my old rack which is oem. Also it did come with new inner tie rods but as soon as the wheels were on the ground with the new rack installed, it started making the knocking noise...- matt06expy

Stiffer rear coil springs???
