    Got my 4.56 gears done!!

I don't think there are 427 available for the front diffs in these rigs. 4.10 or 4.56 only. As far as mileage, my computer doesn't have that function and I haven't gotten around to checking it manually. Around town it's probably better if you can keep your foot out of it. Which is hard to do...

    4.56 gears on the way!

I got my 4.56 gears done a while back to get more towing power. Stock was 3.31 I think, and the difference is amazing. I am only running 33s now, but with 35s it will be just right. Of course my speedo is waaaay off now, but at 55 true mph I am turning about 1900 rpm in OD. The increased...

    Expy stance decieving.

A lot of vehicle's front wheelwells are bigger than the rear, I guess the front tires need more room so they can turn side to side.

    Gears

I just went from 3.31 to 4.56 in my rig, and it feels awesome. I have not towed our toy hauler yet, but I can tell it's going to be much better. I would say 3.73 would be better. If you plan on adding bigger heavier tires, look into more gear, you'll need it.

New tires, new pics on the trail

These are an E load rated tire for sure. Load rating is actually higher than my identical size E rated BFG ATs. Be careful though, cuz these ratings are at 80 psi. Ever drive and Expy with 80 psi tires? Not fun, I imagine. 60 is bad enough, I usually run 40. Higher for trips with the Weekend Warrior

New tires, new pics on the trail

They are holding up very well. I drive A LOT. Bought them July 3rd and the are just now showing any wear. Still love em. Not sure on price, as I got them on a special. If there's a Discount/America's Tire near you, they can get them.

Cool, because I don't like lowered Expeditions or ones wit big krome rimz. Anyway, mine is not lifted yet. Thanks, though.

    Got my 4.56 gears done!!

Ummm, of course I did the front. That's like asking if the sun is hot. So the answer is yes  good thinking on the tuner. hadn't really given that much thought. Speedo/odo correction, more power when u need and more mpg when u dont. Sounds pretty good. I will check out that edge. Thx

    Got my 4.56 gears done!!

So finally got it done. I know I am only rolling 33s now, but I also tow our toy hauler. When loaded for a trip, it's actually heavier than my truck. Also, my stock gears were 3.30s. WTH? 330 on a truck? Anyway, I can really feel the difference. Can't wait to hook up the trailer next month and...

    Differential Questions

I think maybe he means lockers or limited slip? Even then, not really necessary unless you find yourself stuck on the trail often enough to merit the cost.

    How high should I go?

Yeah you don't need a lift for 33" tires. I run 33s on my rig everyday. You may rub the corner of the front valence, I "trimmed" mine a little. Not sure if it would work with running boards. I agree about the 3" spacers, and will prolly get some in the near future so I can run 35s to go along...

Couldn't tell ya. Maybe someone on here who has fogs has done a conversion.

HID light is more that just bulbs. The light in HID is basically an electrical arc. Which requires high voltage. You would need to change the entire lighting system, not just the bulbs.
