Oh yeah, the pcv hose can cause a major vacuum leak/ lean run condition. Pop in the new hose, new pcv and see what you get. After you install parts, clear codes with scanner. If a pcv malfunctions it can range from bad mileage/ poor running, to spewing out oil from no crankcase ventilation. I'd still spray out your maf sensor air tube. Check for cracks on air tube, another cause of lean conditions. I had a map sensor on one of my Lincoln 5.0s that caused havoc like stalling every block. Would barely run. Keep us posted, you'll get it fixed.
